PROFESSOR BUMBANGI NSONI FLAVIEN, MD, MSc, PhD
Prof. Flavien N. Bumbangi is a Medical Doctor, a public health and One Health Specialist, focusing on antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases, and food safety. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing evidence-based health programmes aimed at preventing infectious diseases and promoting antimicrobial stewardship. Prof. Flavien is a seasoned academician and researcher with substantial managerial experience in tertiary medical and health education across both English and French-speaking countries. He has served as Head of Department of Clinical Medicine, Founding Dean of the School of Medicine, and is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Eden University. He also participates in various Committees and Boards at national and international levels within his area of expertise. Prof Flavien holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master’s degree in Public Health and Epidemiology (One Health), a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
